Our schools are geared for success and focused on creating an atmosphere of achievement for every student and faculty member. In our small community of only thirteen schools, we have Title I Distinguished Schools for positive educational achievements, SC Healthy Schools, A National School to Watch, a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, high schools with increases in graduation rates as well as both SAT scores and the number of students who passed AP tests, a finalist for the prestigious Palmetto’s Finest Award and state champions in both athletics and academics.
At our Newberry Elementary Schools, we’re learning today to lead tomorrow. Our teachers, staff and administrators work hard every day to implement an atmosphere of respect and responsibility that lead students to success.
Our Newberry Middle Schools purposefully engage students through learning, enabling them to successfully lead fulfilling lives in a quickly changing and complex society. We foster unity in our schools, district and community, emphasizing a place where all ideas are valued and appreciated and collaboration is encouraged and expected.
Our high school mission is to empower every student to succeed as they develop skills, talents, and passions and make career choices for their future. We provide a pyramid of support to engage students with teachers, staff, and the community and give resources for success.
Our K-12 School, Whitmire Community School is a place for students are nurtured through primary education from start to finish. This is a place where the education and wellbeing of children from kindergarten through graduation are the priorities of all citizens in our community. We work hard daily to prove a safe and nurturing environment and to collaborate with families and the community to prepare all of our students to be lifelong learners through academics, arts, and athletics.
